karma Kettle & Rhapsody @ dempsey Road

Karma Kettle & Rhapsody @ dempsey

lovely place, with lovely fusion of food. For appetizers, we were served spring rolls and chicken with onions and capsicum wrapped with prata. it was good, the spring roll were fantastic =) despite the fact that i do not like onions and capsicum, i must say, the chicken was prepared in such a way that i cannot taste the veggies, and it was lovely as u can taste the crunch on the onions and capsicum when wrapped with prata!

we were then served mussels and prawns in white wine. from what melvin says, the white wine was good, so are the mussels, but i aint no fan of such food, so i took the prawns only. the prawns were cooked in white wine, so i can taste the white wine sauce.

then we were served with the main course. dory fish with tom yum. i was expecting not to like the sauce as tom yum in my memory, was too sour n spicy. being a fish lover, i love the way the fish was prepared. no bones, no fishy smell. lovely! the tom yum sauce was fantastic, a lil tint of soury, not spicy at all. u can tell it's tom yum, but not they typical taste of tom yum we usually taste outside. 9/10 points!

had a lovely drink named red rhapsody, i suppose the name of the drink came from the name of the place. it taste a lil fruitty, light, aint bitter. was a good drink to have while eating such food!

we both had our own dessert. melvin took some stuffs which i cannot remember the ingredients of his dessert. all i can remember was it was topped with coconut (which i decided not to have it, as i dont like shreds of coconuts!) it is unlike the normal dessert which we usually eat. it was like bread, dipped in some sort of sauce, 'wrapped' up.

and as usual, i had chocolate. chocolate truffle cake, warmed, served with vanilla ice cream!

headed down to eski bar @ holland Village (apologise for the resolution of the pics, as i did not use flash there!)

i think it's pretty obvious to know who took which drink right?

only now then i realised it's not the whoe eski bar that is freezing. the whole eski bar was separated into two parts. the area that we went are of the normal temperature, while there was another glass door, which separates the icy freezing room and the 'normal' room. well, as i'm in the mood to get freezed, i did not enter the other legendary room though.

tt's all folks on a friday night after work!
