Giraffe Restaurant And Bar

the giraffe cafe/restaurant opp plaza singapura, istana  park. It’s a glass building amongst all the greenery. Needless to say it has fantastic ambience with great music playing, perfect for a romantic meal or a chill-out with friends.

The first level is the bar with wine, spirits and some finger food.

the second floor is the dining area. we were greeted with smiles from every single servers. There are seats inside and outside which we can choose from. as it was drizzling when we came, i choose the inside seats

the only blemish about this whole place was the serving of food took rather long. we were there around 8, but food were only served near 830. and because they took rather long to serve us the food,  i was camwhoring in my own world. haha

mojito. i think it's time we change fireman's nick to MR MOJITO la! i was commenting to him that it seems mojito is his daily basis of water like that. each time we were out, he's sure to have mojito (if they serves it there)

i had my ladies drink. shirley temple. it's dam nice. i had the one at meritius before, and also at balcony. but i totally heart this. it does not taste as gassy as the one at balcony, and it taste sweet, perfect to not make u feel like u're drinking pure syrup =)

cherry cherry cherry

clam chowder (melvin's)

no comments. cause i didnt try it. haha. i dont like clam actually =)

mushroom soup (denise's)

creamy. but nothing special. i prefer hob nob's. hob nob's mushroom soup is filled with generous amt of chopped mushroom. u are literally drinking every spoonful of mushrooms. i didnt like the idea of soakin the toasted garlic bread in the soup cause when it starts to soften, u can taste tints of oil in the garlic bread 2.5/5 stars =)

Seafood Ricotti (melvin's)

has a hint of spicyness. the rice when served was moist, thus making it not as dry as the fried rice that was being served commonly outside. the prawns were a lil overcooked, doesn't taste crunchy enough. but i'll give this dish 3.5/5 stars =)

aglio oglio

remember how i was praising tcc's? i wld say, this is as good, in fact, better. wine was infused into this dish, with  lots of garlic and chopped chillies. one thing abt such spags is that they usually turned dry after some time when the olive oil evaporated, but, this dish seems to be coated with the lovely sauce, thus making the whole eating session moist! the only thing was it does not topped with scallops nor seafood like tcc. but it's not as spicy as tcc, which i heart =) can i give it 4.5/5 stars? hehe

okay, i know this entry sounds like a total food blog la!

we are doing the second round of dKriss photoshot tonight with DKS at my house tonight again!
