import: happy 21st birthday

yes, a change of plan. thanks to joyce for being stubborn enough. real stubborn enough to say that a 21st should nt be just like that. i plan to head home after ballet on my birthday. 21st, for your info. yes, it's not boring, but just i was burnt out spending my weekends at the IT show. her stubborness made me agreed to head for dinner at chatterbox, followed by chilling session at top of M. yes, i must have got a lil crazy to agree, as i was dressed for the occasion.

my first time there. the well-known place for its famous chicken rice

started off with orange juice. yeeks! it was so sour that it taste bitter. i totally left it untouched. joyce says that you can have anything changed if it was not up to your likings. being the nice birthday girl, i decided not to change it though. haha

how can we NOT HAVE veggies. beansprout preferred =) joyce loves the sauce that was prepared in this dish. it's on the sweet side. but we both love beansprout that the 'head & tail' has been removed kind. haha. picky us, u can say!

i must agreed that the layout of the food was real interesting. but, one thing i didnt really like was it became rather difficult to eat as u can rest your elbow on the table.

say we are kids, and we do not know what is call GOOD FOOD. we chose breast meat over thighs. haha. okay okay. i know that thghs are nicer, for whatever u think. but we prefer easy-to-eat over what is nicer. i like the way the chicken was prepared. it does not feel as oily as those we buy outside

my favourite of the day. cabbage soup i guess. it was lovely, light. non greasy. perfect!

yes, the key to a good chicken rice dish does not lies in the chicken, but the rice too i would say. however, it was rather disappointing, just 3 words, not fragrance enough. i've tried better ones, perhaps hawker centers =), where by u can see the grain of the rice, lightly coated with oil, shimering, but yet not greasy.

khaki i know i'm not suppose to openly post abt what i'm going to below. BUT! there's this fly fly, buzzing around us la! so joyce n i looked at one another, thinking how come such a place have fly flying around!

how can missy sweet tooth not have any dessert? haha. i chose strawberry mousse cake as joyce doesnt fancy cheesecake. the sponge layer in between was real soft, and the strawberry mixture was very well done. totally satisfied missy sweet tooth!

flowers from cindy. it was so thoughtful of her to remember and to get 3 lovely stalks for sunflowers for me. such a pleasant surprise i've got when i went ballet =)

delivery of flowers was real sweet. the sender, who actually turns out to be my very own sister. she's such a dearie, who totally brighten up my day. although it was a lil awkward to carry the flowers on the bus to ballet, but i enjoy the 'stares of jealousy' hahaha! such a bitch i am

gift that came early, on sat. unexpectedly. thank you melvin for the lovely bling bling. thanks for the thought of bringing the gift with you although we did not agree to meet that day. this was something that i really wanted, just that i couldnt sort out the thought of getting the black or the white one. was surprised that u remembered that i once randomly said i really like this watch. the most amazing thing was u managed to trick me into believeing that it was the common DKNY perfume. since when u've got such good acting skills la! huh huh huh!!! but thanks, i really like this gift =)
