let me warn u
this is a post on truckful loads of food n words
just like the title suggested
with lots of words
hahahaha
all in one day
five different venues
so if u're viewing this entry at your workplace
i think u better wait till u're free to view
the whole entry will take some time to load
with tons of words n pictures
i took 3 whole days to load the pictures up n complete this entry can!!!
but if u're hoping this is one bloody entry that will help to kill boredom

after work on sarturday (04/10/08)
richard came over to pick me up at kaki bukit
before heading over to sentosa (braise) for lunch

















i have no idea that there's such a place at siloso beach
considering i'm one who used to frequent there often
this place serves mediterranean cuisine
richard is a food guru can
he's like always going everywhere to try food that was recommended by his friends
so throughout the lunch we were talking about places that we've tried that is good, or so so
woot
n i seems to have a few more places in mind that i wan to try

i must admit
this place is very cosy
despite the fact that there is only 3 set of people dining there
n we're the only chinese
but the cs wasnt as good as i expected
we were having a hard time trying to understand what the waiter was telling us
i mean
we know he's definately not a local
from the accent he carries
but
if we cant understand
how does the caucasians understand him?
well, that is why
he is serving out table
not the rest of his colleagues i suppose



















the endless free flow of bread
we chose a 3 course meal instead of ala carte

i cant exactly remember the name
neither did i remember to take a pic of the menu
how smart!
but i remembered he said it was pretty average































missus's starters
mushroom soup in cappucino's style
damn nice can!!!!!!

the main course
it was suppose to be salmon i guess
but it was replaced with some other fish
i like the fish though
not so much of the tomato, which was used as a based
if u're a tomato fan
u'll definately like it
because of the very original taste of tomato
cooked till super soft
with no added taste































i totally heart my main course
it was served chilled
using noodles like soba
but not really
but it's not spaghetti also
the chopped 'garlic-looked-alike' was oh-so-nice
which we both couldnt figure out what was the exactly ingredient
a lil on the salty side
but definately something i've never tried before n would still love to
hokkaido scallops was used
which wasnt much of my preference
as i didnt like that "seafood" taste
hahahaha







































the i-can-die-for dessert
it was literally
the kind where it melts in your mouth can!
n i was told
because no flour was added when the do the chocolate cake
thus it melts in the mouth
a taste-like vanilla flavour ice cream was used
but i dont think it's vanilla
cause it didnt taste like the typical creamy vanilla taste
i like the chocolate cake
awwwwwww~















anyway
that's only part one of my day
as the title suggest
that was a medditerean lunch we had at sentosa
actually the reason we met up was because of cupcakes
richard wan intending to get me cupcakes
but didnt know whether i'll like it
so he decided to bring me there, myself, instead











so next stop
we went to somewhere at far east square
not e one in orchard can~
if u ask me to take public transport
i really dont know where to alight, what bus to take
i dont remember seeing any bus stop near there

u can dine in there n have our choice of cupcakes also
it's a very pretty place girls would love
but i think it cant accommodate much people

i actually stood in front of the counter for very long
trying to decided what should i get
but however
we only got there around 1645pm
so there wasnt much choices around

so i almost picked one of each
since the variety left was like maybe about 7 kinds of different designs/flavours



















so these are the 4 that i picked eventually

the dark chocolate flavour
it was dark chocolate-flavouered cake with chocolate toppings
this wasnt as good as i expected
because it has that "chocolate" taste
as in
like the chocolate aint very fresh that kind

















lemon cheesecake with molten chocolate
this is heaven can
the lemon taste is just nice
not overwhelming to cover the cheesecake
n the texture of the cheesecake was very well done
on top of that
the molten chocolate on top
is WTF nice la!
i kept it in the fridge
n consume them only on the next day
n guess what
the chocolate wasnt those that was like chilled n hard
is was like molten
not like those hot syrup of course la
put in fridge leh

the cupcake that i chose because it was very pretty
i aint no rose flavoured fan
so this was pretty average to me
the cupcakes was mixed with chocolate syrup
pretty average also

but this was a chocolatey chocolate cupcake
the good thing about these cupcakes were
as long as chocolate was used
they actually used dark chocolate
so it was not those way-too-sweet kinds
=)

we have been quite lucky cause the rain stopped when we reached sentosa
being the dont-like-to-be-in-aircon-surrounded people
we fully utilised the functions of a convertible car
it's effing cool can
especially when u opt for windows up
hahaha
it's like everything of a car except the top cover
lol



















like what i always believe
2 door cars are selfish
looked at the amount of space available for the passengers at the back!
it's just nice for me to put my box of cupcakes can!!!!
i mean
partly because my fren has super long legs
the driver seat was shifted far away from the steering wheel
that explains why the back is so cramped up la
but
my fren believes
a 2 door car should only be used to fetch the driver n 1 passenger around only
if he wants to fetch more people
he'll just drive the integra

just in case my dearest complain that this is another long entry with food, food n still food

it's really a place that comes to one's mind

i was seriously spoilt for choices
n wanted to ordered like one of each
but bearing in mind
it always endedup
having my fren to finish up all my leftovers
*right? my dear friends? lol*
so after killing thousands of my brain cells
i settled for the blueberry cheese instead of the truffles
































and i'm absolutely sure that i've made the right choice
cause after that olio dome's sucky cheesecake
i kind of have phobia towards cheesecake
n this is
heavenly nice!!!
in fact
i think it's better than the ones at cheesecake cafe
if only they have strawberry ones
awwwWww
i told richard that
i might ended up buying one whole blueberry cake
n have it consecutively for one week as breakfast
lol
that is how good the cheesecake is can!!!

this place was said to have real good beer battered fish n chips
being a fish lover
i always wanted to try this said-by-many food place
however
i felt it was pretty average only
n agreeded by the guys
the standard of the food actually was not as good as compared to the past
bohoo~
why didnt i come here in the past

the whole place was decorated
in a rather vintage style
cosy it is word to describe the feeling it leaves one with


























the sweet beer that i was head over heels with
5% of alcohol
is alot of me
daryl requested to have blackcurrent syrup added into this beer
to sweeten it furthur
was told by bryan (his friend) that this beer was fermented with apples
that explains the sweetness of this beer
it taste just like
gassy sweet drink to me
i like!

we were suppose to meet the rest of his friends
at around 12am for a movie
n since we've got more than 3 hours to kill
the guys suggested
drinking
like wtf
so we went furthur down clarke quay
to penny black
which is a victorian london style pub

























the guys had at least 4 glasses each
ranging mostly from kilkenny to stout
which i think is damn bitter la
so not nice
i wonder why they can just keep ordering the same thing













to start off
we have kilkenny for bryan, and strowbow cider for daryl n i
i was told that not all places serve strongbow
that is why when i told my friends that was the beer i had for the night
most of them didnt know what i was exactly talking about

miss mm actually wanted us to do a double, ending in attitude, followed by promenate
(*promenate - dancer turns slowly in place on one foot while maintaining a definite pose)
then 2 doubles
so i was telling timonthy
let's try a triple on the last one
i kept falling off pointe when doing the last triple
n we kept apologising to one another
hahahaha
but on the last attempt
we succeeded in a triple
cloud 9 cloud 9 cloud 9 can
the sense of satisfaction is enough to make me forget about the swollen toe
lol









*pss - i think i am better off as a spanish dancer than ballet dancer
